In these days of seemingly endless sources of information, not only from books and magazines, but countless makeup tutorials on the internet, you’ll find some amazing makeup artists out there - sharing all kinds of great stuff from their magic bag of tricks. And while there are many things to learn from them, there are so many more things that can only be accomplished in person; like properly matching concealer and foundation for your own personal skin tone, shaping your brows and enhancing your own unique eye shape with the right shadowing, choosing lipsticks and blush that most flatter your own coloring, and finding what skincare regimens and products best suit your individual needs. And by keeping classes small, I’m able to give you that full- on personal attention to address these needs or questions.
As in many skills and occupations, hands on experience is the best way to learn. In this personalized class, you will learn the basic, fundamental skills that will transcend all the makeup trends that come and go. And once you’ve got those skills down, your technique will only improve from there.
Whether it’s for natural, everyday looks or a little more enhancement for evenings out or special occasions, by taking this makeup course you will learn how to recognize and shop for quality, finely milled, and highly pigmented products that will make it easy to use the minimal amount with maximum results. While higher quality makeup does make a big difference, the most important thing is how it’s applied, and learning those skills will give you that advantage. One of the most helpful things to know is how to properly use brushes and tools to apply your makeup. And to make sure you are well equipped, you will receive a set of premium, vegan brushes (a $130 retail value) to use during class and to take home as a gift.
For the day of the class, I will ask you to bring the makeup and skin care products you are currently using. Together we’ll determine both what’s working for you, and what may not be working for you.
